Variable Speed Drives

We were commissioned by one of our OEM customers to design and build a bespoke control system for a 180kW plastic extruder machine.

This application comprises of a Rittal VX control panel bay, with a Woehner busbar system and Siemens control gear.  These are complemented by a Parker 690P 180kW variable speed drive. 

This application was built for one of our OEM Machine Builder customers, satisfying UL requirements for the panel and casing. 

This system comprised of a range of Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 variable speed drives, with an Allen-Bradley busbar system, Sick safety solutions and an Allen-Bradley PSU. 

For this application, Axis Controls designed a bespoke electrical industrial control panel featuring eighteen Parker AC30 variable speed drives.

The main plant control panel was handled by an Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLC system, that seemlessly interfaced with the established factory wide Wonderware SCADA system.  The electrical industrial control panel also featured a complex, complete safety system with numerous Pilz and Guardmaster safety relays to ensure safety throughout the production process. 

This application consisted of a Parker DC UL590 Fastpack 725A Variable Speed Drive, that is capable of meeting the demands of even the most complex motor control applications. 

This batch charger application consists of a wide variety of Siemens components.  As a recognised Siemens reseller, with a Siemens testing wall at our premises in Southport, we can confidently design, test and build control systems with integrated Siemens parts. 

This electrical control panel solution consisted of four Siemens screens on the casing, a range of Siemens Simanics variable speed drives and a number of other parts. 

This system comprises of Danfoss FC-302 Variable Speed Drives, with a modular and versatile control system. 

The Danfoss FC-302 variable speed drive range ensures easy commissioning and upgrades with plug-in technology, and the overall lifetime of electronics is prolonged as the drive is extremely resistant to daily wear and tear. 

This cooling hall application utilised ABB ACH580 Variable Speed Drives.  ABB ACH580 drives are ideal controlling any type of AC motor, making it the perfect solution for HVAC systems.  

With simple installation, commissioning and usage; the ABB ACH580 variable speed drive is ideal for a cooling hall application such as this. 

This application consists of Siemens Simanics G120C Variable Speed Drives, controlled by a PROFInet communications network. 

These drives are compact in size, with a high power density; making them suitable for a number of different application types.  G120C variable speed drives offer reliable communication with Siemens PROFInet communications. 

This variable speed drive solution comprosed of a Parker Enclosed AC10 Fastpack drive in 2.2kW, alongside 3DOL fans. 

The Parker AC10 delivers a reliable and economical solution to everyday motor control applications that require speed and torque control. 

Here is an example of one of our dual redundant fan extraction systems built for Siemens.

Using two 55 kW G120 variable speed drives controlled over ProFinet. Process control is handled by a powerful Siemens S7-1200 PLC with a 9" colour touchscreen.
